Meet Shelly Albright

As a 20-year resident of Wellington who raised my family here, a Hispanic woman, the current Director of Children and Youth Ministries at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, an education advocate and an active community leader, I have the qualifications and long-term perspective needed to serve on our Village Council.

I am running to bring my many years of local experience as a community leader and longtime Wellington resident to the dais.  I know Wellington.  I know the issues important to our community.  I will be the strong effective leader Wellington needs.

Some of my priorities will include:

• Protect our environmentally sensitive lands

• Work with the legislature to reduce the cost of homeowner’s insurance

• Support regional transportation initiatives to relieve traffic

• Continue to support our Village education initiatives to ensure all Wellington schools are “A” rated

• Work with our police and fire departments to keep Wellington one of the safest communities in Florida

• Keep our taxes some of the lowest in Palm Beach County

• Protect Home Rule
